2025 Annual Giving Appeal
In the past, our goal has been a dollar amount. Why change to number of pledges
instead? We believe if ALL of us work together and contribute what God is calling us to, the budget will be filled. So rather than focusing on a dollar amount, we want to encourage EVERYONE to get involved in this campaign. Whether it’s a dollar per month or $10,000 per month, your contribution has huge impact.

“Liberated to celebrate the Lord’s festival.”
The Bible is a story about a God who wants people—all people—to be free. When Yahweh delivers the Israelites from Egypt, Moses insists that Pharoah let everyone go: “our young and our old…our sons and daughters… even our flocks and herds.” But it is even more all-encompassing than that. The liberated also included a “mixed crowd” (Exodus 12: 38). Yahweh isn’t liberating only the Israelites, but all people—no exceptions!
Free from what? Free from economic and political oppression. On the other side of the Red Sea waters, they will be free to celebrate “the Lord’s festival” (Ex.10.9).
We are not slaves of Pharaoh, but most of us know what it is to feel trapped. We know what it is like to be enslaved to the exhausting “rat race.” Most of us also know what it is like to be free. Those moments when we leave the rat race behind and enjoy the grace filled life we have in Christ.
“For freedom Christ has set us free.”
Yahweh desires to liberate all—no exceptions! With all, we are then inspired to help God make a world in which all people are truly free.
With all, we are for all. We are called to help God make a world where all people have the energy to love their neighbors, celebrate God’s boundless love, eat meals with one another, and share their resources with those in need. With all, for all—no exceptions.
Prayerfully consider what financial gift you can give to God in gratitude for the freedom we have in Christ. Your gift will support God’s liberating mission through St. Timothy’s.
Common Questions
The Basics
-
Making a financial pledge is promising to give a specific dollar amount of your financial resources to the operating budget of St. Timothy’s over the course of a calendar year.
-
Without the yearly giving appeal, St. Timothy’s would be unable to fund its mission:
89% of the budget comes from pledges
10% comes from non-pledged contributions
1% comes from loose offering -
Pledging tells us how much money St. Timothy’s will have to carry out its mission for the year and helps us plan our budget.
-
Item description
How much do I pledge?
-
That's between you, your family, and God.
Expenses have increased 8%, and therefore our giving will have to increase, but we will do it together.
-
The Vestry and Annual Giving Appeal committee are very aware of this. (What if you lose a job, the car breaks down, someone gets sick...)
Remember, the pledge is not a binding contract. If things come up, they come up! Instead of not pledging, consider making a "safe" pledge and if you are blessed with the resources to give more than you initially pledged, wonderful!
-
We obviously need to fund our budget, but that's not the main focus of making a financial pledge. Making a financial pledge is an opportunity to reflect on how grateful you are for all that God has done for you, and for St. Tim's role in God's "loving the world into being".
-
If you haven't pledged in previous years, make this year the beginning of a journey full of gratitude for all that God has done for you!
How is the money used?
This can be answered by looking at our budget in two ways: mission-focused and finance-focused.

How do I pledge?
Saint Timothy’s uses a program called “Realm” to process pledges and giving. You will need a personal login, so if you have not yet set up a Realm account, please contact Parish Bookkeeper, Kathy at KathyM@SaintTimothys.com.
Completing your pledge on a desktop or laptop is suggested, rather than your phone or tablet. Click the arrows on the sides of the pictures to move between slides.
