Giving
There are many ways to give back to God what God has blessed us with. We never want you to give more than you can, but do take giving back seriously. We sing every Sunday, “take what we bring now, and give what we need, all done in Your name.” It is God who gives - let us not take what we have for granted.
See below for the various giving avenues.
Realm
St. Timothy’s encourages our parishioners to give online. This method makes contributing easier for you and more efficient for St. Timothy’s. If you do not already do so, please consider using Realm to contribute to St. Timothy's. The secure system allows you to set up your pledge and pledge payments, manage payment methods, review your giving history, as well as contribute one-time offerings toward a variety of St. Timothy’s Ministries. You may choose to have these contributions automatically withdrawn from your bank account, or charged to your credit or debit card. You can use this method to pre-authorize payments on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, or bi-annual basis. This level of control on the part of the giver reduces both processing costs and errors. If you have questions or need a login to Realm, please contact Kathy, Parish Bookkeeper.
GiveButter
Text “StTimsCincy” to (202)858-1233. Through this, you can give via Google Pay, card, Venmo, or PayPal. You can also make a note for what the gift is for. There is a small processing fee with this system, but you are able to uncheck the box so it is taken from the total if you wish.
Gifts in the Form of Securities:
Bonds, Mutual Funds, Stocks
If you wish to make a special gift to St. Timothy's or to pay your pledge by transfer of shares of a security in your portfolio, held in street name in your brokerage account, please follow these procedures:
Request your broker to deliver shares of the designated security to DTC (Depository Trust Co.) Participant #0164 (Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.) for the account of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Number 5031-1920. In addition, contact our bookkeeper Kathy to let her know what security is being transferred so that she can identify the contribution when received in the church's account.
If you contribute securities registered in your name, rather than that held for you by a broker, take the certificate(s) to a bank, and, in the presence of a bank representative, either sign the assignment form on the back of the certificate(s), or sign a separate assignment form. Be sure the bank representative then attests the authenticity of your signature(s). It's preferable to sign the separate assignment form to preclude an unauthorized transfer of your shares. Deliver the shares, with assignment form(s) if applicable, directly to Kathy.
St. Timothy’s Foundation
Steve M. snibbs@att.net
St. Timothy’s Foundation comprises a variety of ways that charitable gifts can be made to the Church from our accumulated resources. It usually involves financial or estate planning; although it is not reserved only for the wealthy. Personal estate and gift planning are the means by which each person who is concerned with the wise use of his or her personal resources makes a considered choice about their ultimate disposition.
